Fail-Proof Data Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability

Virtually every organization faces a host of common IT challenges, including:

  • Leakage of customer’s sensitive information
  • Mounting pressure to make more information & services available online
  • The growing need to share data within & across geographically dispersed user communities
  • Keeping data available 24/7, 365 days a year  “ALWAYS ON”

Underlying each of these challenges is the need to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data—whether it is at rest on a storage device, in motion traveling across a network, or being shared through Communities of Interest (COI) or Cross Domain Information Sharing (CDIS) platforms. The problem is that typical protection strategies use a perimeter-based approach.  These perimeter-based approaches do not protect against insider threats, are prone to hidden areas of vulnerability, and are difficult and expensive to scale and adapt. Perimeter-based approaches are an impediment to sharing information and to Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based solutions. Security First eliminates the need for perimeter-based tactics by using a true Data-Centric Information Assurance (IA) solution that protects data against theft, corruption, and destruction—for the life of the data, wherever it is.

Data Protection and Data Integrity

Whether security breaches are inadvertent or malicious, internal or external, they have the potential to wreak financial, operational, and legal havoc. Security First solutions protect data—from laptop to enterprise—using one common access control method for Data in Motion and Data at Rest.    Learn more

Secure Information Sharing

Information sharing among people and groups with different authorization levels is a key requirement for commercial and government organizations. Security First solutions protect data based on role or identity and make it continuously available only to the employees, partners, customers, or constituents who are authenticated and authorized to access it. They also enable the sharing of information amongst different domains securely on a common infrastructure thus reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and increasing Return on Investment (ROI).    Learn more

Secure Digital Communications

Securing IM, VOIP, HTTP and other IP Based protocols is a complex problem for today’s point to point solutions. Security First solutions are breakthrough in secure digital communications. By protecting digital data from end point to end point, user to user , user to machine, machine to machine  at the data level, solutions are now less complex and more robust than traditional solutions.      Learn more

Continuity Of Operations Plan (COOP)

The threat of physical and cyber attacks, an increase in regulatory requirements in finance, healthcare, and national security, and the potentially crippling effects of natural disasters like the hurricanes and fires that have recently plagued the U.S. underscore the need for continuous data availability and disaster recovery. Security First solutions employ a fault-tolerant approach that ensures high data availability and an “Always ON “ approach for data.and  provides inherent data recovery and backup capabilities without costly resource depleting backup and recovery techniques.     Learn more

Data in Motion

The Security First technology called SecureParser can be used to secure any and all types of data moving between clients, groups and enterprise servers. We call this Data in Motion (DiM). These solutions are a transformational way to protect your network data. It starts by using certified encryption, then bit-splits data into multiple slices as it moves through the network. But more than that, it allows multiple communities of interest to share the same network without fear of another group accessing their data or even their workstations and servers. The result is a much simpler network infrastructure, increased agility to react to new opportunities, and enhanced security of your network data.

Secure DiM is ideal for:

  • Enterprises that have deployed and maintain or are planning to deploy multiple physical networks to provide services to individuals who need access to data with different security level classifications.
  • Enterprises that are challenged with sharing appropriate data while maintaining a secure operation.
  • Enterprises that would like to hide network resources from unauthorized access.

Secure DiM increases agility and effectiveness by simplifying network provisioning requirements and facilitating Information Sharing among communities of interest.  It will reduce costs by consolidating multiple networks to one physical network and simplifying network maintenance. Lower risk is also achieved through the unique security properties of SecureParser®.  Learn more

Data at Rest

The SecureParser can be used to secure any and all types of data being stored locally or at the enterprise level. We call this Data at Rest (DaR). The SecureParser will work with any type of available storage technology, from information stored on local hard drive to storage at the back end from direct attached Storage (DAS), Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), Extended tape libraries (ETL) and Virtual tape Libraries (VTL) to a Just a Bunch of Disks (JBOD).

SecureParser is a modular technology built around a new science of Multi-factored Factor Secret Sharing. SecureParser offers a layered approach to security including enabled cross domain information protection (CDIP), provable security, random data splitting at the bit or byte level (cryptographic data splitting), multiple levels of data integrity, and built in fault tolerance. Other encryption solutions are just encryption in a box.

SecureParser enables reduction of infrastructure cost (equipment, power, HVAC, associated hardware, space, weight, management resources expensive security and storage) in several ways.

  • Built in fault tolerant architecture of the SecureParser eliminates the need for the redundant replicas, hot backup sites and offline copies of data and therefore provides an always on capability.
  • CDIP functionality of the SecureParser allows for secure collapsing of redundant infrastructure.
  • Highly available data that is always on.

Flexible M of N fault tolerance allows for definition of the minimum number of sites (M) of the total sites (N) required for the system to be fully operational.  A damaged or lost site can be rebuilt transparently in place, or relocated to a different location without exposing the underlying data.
